Seru Uru (Reds) – Back from a high ankle sprain in round 6 via the bench.
Bayley Kuenzle (Force) – Back after missing rd 9 with gastro.
Jeremy Thrush (Force) – Recovered from general soreness after missing rd 9.
Toni Pulu (Force) – Recovered from the concussion symptoms that cost him a spot in rd 9.
Izack Rodda (Force) – Back after isolating close contact protocols in rd 9.
Issak Fines-Leleiwasa (Force) – Back after isolating close contact protocols in rd 9.

Caleb Clarke (Blues) – Back from a rd 7 red card for jumping to charge down a ball and connecting with the opposition’s head.
Marino Mikaele Tu’u (Highlanders) – Recovered from a hamstring injury.
Sekope Kepu (Moana) – Came off injured in rd 8 and won’t play rd 9. Source.

Allan Alaalatoa (Brumbies) – Has a neck injury before rd 9 that was a week to week proposition, named on the bench.
Nick Frost (Brumbies) – Back on the bench this week.
Pone Fa’amausili (Rebels) – Back starting from a calf injury.
Dave Porecki (Waratahs) – Back after a rd 10 concussion.
Tom Horton (Waratahs) – Back after a rd 10 concussion.
Mosese Tuipulotu (Waratahs) – Played Shute Shield in rd 11 so should be available if wanted. Source.
Tuaina Tali Tualima (Reds) – Copped a red card in rd 7 and served out his 3 week ban. Wasn’t selected in the 23.

Dane Coles (Hurricanes) – Finally making his comeback from a calf injury via the bench.
Du’Plessis Kirifi (Hurricanes) – Back after missing the last few weeks with injury.
Asafo Aumua (Hurricanes) – Back from his red card ban.
Dominic Bird – His shoulder surgery is now expected to take him until late July. Source.

Michael Hooper (Waratahs) – Came off with concussion and is missing rd 12.
Harry Johnson-Holmes (Waratahs) – Came off with a knee injury and will be racing against the clock to play Super Rugby again this year. Source.
Ray Nu’u (Rebels) – Banned for 4 weeks for a high shot on Christian Leali’ifano in only his first game back from another red card ban. Source.
Taniela Tupou (Reds) – Expected to miss the remainder of the season with a calf injury suffered on Friday night. Source.
Kane Koteka (Force) – Rule out for the season with a foot injury. Source.
Toni Pulu (Force) – Out with a hamstring tear. Source.

Brumbies
Chris Feauai-Sautia – Suffered a hamstring injury at training on Wednesday before rd 5. Source.
Jesse Mogg – Suffered a knee injury in rd 7 (we suspect a PCL injury given he jumped and landed on the point of his knee). Apparently out for at least 6 weeks so could return for rd 14. Source.

Reds
Alex Mafi – Had two bones in his neck fused after rd 3. Expected to be out for 12 weeks. We think it could end his season. Source.
Kalani Thomas – Came off with a concussion in rd 9, hasn’t played since.
Liam Wright – Pulled from the side during the rd 7 warm-up after hurting his ankle. Had surgery for a syndesmosis injury around rd 8, apparently he is trying to get back for the last week or two of the competition.
Isaac Henry – As of rd 9 he has a hamstring injury and will be out long term. Source.
Zane Nonggorr – Injured his knee before rd 9 and will be out for 6+ weeks. Source.
James O’Connor – Could be back as early as rd 13 from his knee injury after recovering quicker than expected. Source.

Rebels
Trevor Hosea – Fractured his foot. Aiming to return Rd 12-13. Source.
Josh Kemeny – Expected to miss the majority of the season coming back from an ACL injury. Source
Joe Pincus – Has a groin injury. Return date is still TBC. Source.
Ross Haylett-Petty – Suffering with concussion, hopefully back in rd 8 but like Ioane it is getting harder to know where he is at. Source.
Jeral Skelton – We now know he has been recovering from an ACL injury and was aiming for rd 8. Source.
Matt To’omua – Came off with a concussion in rd 9 and hasn’t been seen since.

Waratahs
Lachie Swinton – Hurt his shoulder late in the drought-breaking win over the Drua. His return date is still undecided as he recovers from a nerve injury, but he isn’t expected to return any time soon as of rd 8. Source.
Jeremy Williams – Tore his hamstring pilfering a ball and being forced into an overstretch type injury. Generally, I fear the worst for these ones, but he had the ice on his mid hamstring, so fingers crossed it is no more than 4-6 weeks. The Tahs are saying he is aiming for rd 11 or later. Source.
Ned Hanigan – Playing in Japan until the end of their 2022 season. Was expected back in 3 weeks as of rd 8 so could be back anytime. Source.

NEW ZEALAND
Highlanders
Solomon Alaimalo – Tony Brown said he was again unavailable due to personal reasons. There is no timeframe on his return. Source.
Rory van Vugt – Broke his wrist in the trial of three halves on the 12th Feb. We suspect he will be out for six weeks. Source.
Liam Coombes-Fabling – Came off with a knee injury that will keep him out for between 2 and 6 weeks. Source.
Shannon Frizell – Tore his MCL in rd 8 so he will most likely be out for 2 months. Source.
Manaaki Selby-Rickit – Tore his MCL (knee) in rd 8. The coach said he thought he could be gone for the season. Source.
Denny Solomona – Came off after 16 minutes into rd 9 with a hamstring strain after making a cover tackle. It is still unclear how long he will be out far. Source.

Chiefs
Simon Parker – Out with a niggly injury that could have him out long term as of rd 7. Source.
Gideon Wrampling – Picked up an injury in the NPC and had surgery. Could be back in rd 9 or 10. Source.
Brodie Retallick – Came off with a fractured thumb in rd 6. Could be out for 8 weeks, which sets his return around rd 14. Source.
Laghlan Mcwhannell – Came off with a concussion in rd 7 so may be available this week. Not on tour in Aus so won’t play until at least rd 12.
Josh Ioane – Took a big shot to his ribs in rd 7. Expected to play rd 12 or 13. Source.
Sione Mafileo – Expected to be back via this week after being pulled late rd 7 with a sore back. Not on tour in Aus so won’t play until at least rd 12.
Shooter Stevenson – Injured his right knee as he twisted in a tackle in rd 9. Was seen with a brace on later during the game. Expected to be out for 2-3 weeks. Source. Back running before rd 11 so he should be back soon. Source.
Brad Weber – Back training before rd 11, expected to be fit for rd 12 or 13. Source.

Hurricanes
Ruben Love – Listed as unavailable for rd 10. Aiming to play rd 12. Source.
Brayden Iose – Listed as unavailable for rd 10. That means the earliest he could play is rd 12 after their Aus tour. Source.
Pepesana Patafilo – Listed as unavailable for rd 10. That means the earliest he could play is rd 12 after their Aus tour. Source.
James O’Reilly – Pulled pregame in the midweek match between rd 8 and 9. Source.
Devan Flanders – Injured his knee in the first 20 minutes between rd 8 and 9. Source.
Reed Prinsep – Pulled pre-game with an injury in rd 10. Source.

Crusaders
Brodie McAlister – Injured his calf in rd 6. Could be out for 6 weeks. Source.
Shilo Klein – Copped a rd 7 red card for a shoulder to de Groot’s head. Will face a 3 week ban. Back rd 12. Source.
Quinten Strange – Went down badly with what looked like a big calf tear in rd 8. Should be out for up to 8 weeks. Source.
Scott Barrett – Banned for 4 weeks after his high tackle red card in rd 9. Back round 14.
Joe Moody – Ruptured his ACL in rd 9. Will be gone for the season. Source.

Blues
Sam Nock – Will be sidelined for up to three weeks from rd 8 with a broken bone in his hand (back rd 12). Source.
Josh Goodhue – Will be out for several weeks with a broken thumb in rd 9. Source.

PACIFIKA TEAMS

Fiji Drua
Ratu Rotuisolia – Came off after only 19 minutes clutching at his hamstring in rd 4.
Nemani Nagusa – Banned for 4 weeks in rd 7 from his high tackle. Back rd 13. Source.
Alivereti Veitokani – Is recovering from a major knee injury and wasn’t expected to play this year. He has now been added back into the squad so we assume he is nearing a return. Source.

Moana Pasifika
Nil

Gone for the season:

Joey Walton (Waratahs) – Has done his second ACL in only his second session back for the Waratahs back in October 21. Will miss the entire SR Pacifika season. Source.
Will Harrison (Waratahs) – Came off with an ACL and MCL tear as well as damaging something around his knee cap in rd 10. He will have surgery in roughly a month and will likely return to play 9-12 months after that. Source.
Josh Nasser (Reds) – Injured his pec in rd 7 and will be out for the season. Source.

Dillon Hunt (Blues) – Forced into early retirement due to Concussion. Source.
Harry Plummer (Blues) – Has already had surgery n his shoulder and will miss the rest of the year. Source.
Patelesio Tomkinson (Highlanders) – will miss the entirety of the inaugural Super Rugby Pacific season after injuring his foot while playing for Otago. Vereniki Tikoisolomone has been called up as his replacement. Source.
Pari Pari Parkinson (Highlanders) – Suffered a “multi-ligament knee injury” in November 2021 (this will be ACL plus others). He won’t be back for roughly twelve months. Source.
Jona Nareki (Highlanders) – Ruptured his ACL last August. As of Rd 10 he said he was a month off returning to club rugby. Source.
Gareth Evans (Highlanders) – Ruptured his pec in rd 10. Will have surgery and miss the rest of the year. Source.
Anton Lienert-Brown (Chiefs) – Came off with a shoulder injury in rd 8. Had surgery and will be out for 6 months. Source.
Nathan Harris (Chiefs) – Has had to retire due to chronic ankle pain. Source.
