We have officially passed the half way point of Super Rugby Trans Tasman, while the results have gone both ways, the injuries haven't! Returned from injury (Trans Tasman Rd 3):
Scott Barrett (Crusaders) - Recovered from the illness that kept him out of the first 2 rounds.
Ardie Savea (Hurricanes) - Had a cracker off the bench having recovered from a rd 6 MCL injury.
Angus Ta’avao (Chiefs) - Made his comeback in the starting side after recovering from a groin injury.
Quinn Tupaea (Chiefs) - Ruptured his MCL (knee) in rd 7. Came back off the bench this week.
Mitch Brown (Chiefs) - Back after missing a game with an ankle sprain.
Toni Pulu (Western Force) - Looked very sharp after finally making his comeback from a red card ban.
Nic White (Brumbies) - Back from his hip flexor injury that kept him out of the side in the last two weeks.
Jeremy Thrush (Western Force) - Started after being pulled from the side late last week.
Lalakai Foketi (Waratahs) - Didn't miss a game despite a concussion in rd 2.
Izaia Perese (Waratahs) - Looked to be fully fit, showing no signs of the groin injury that ruled him out late last week.
Likely back this week (Trans Tasman Rd 4):
Naitoa Ah Kuoi (Chiefs) - The general knocks that apparently kept him out of rd 1 was upgraded to "a neck injury". No word of anything serious so we assume he is still close to a come back. Source.
Jonah Lowe (Chiefs) - “Should be fine” after a tight hamstring forced him off in the 53rd minute rd 2. Did miss a week but surely we see him this week. Source.
Ruben Love (Hurricanes) - Taken off on a stretcher in rd 1. Recovered from a shoulder injury and concussion to play. Source.
Sam Gilbert (Highlanders) - Pulled pregame rd 2 with a mild hamstring twinge in warm up. He is available this week. Source.
Tom Sanders (Crusaders) - Broke his nose and failed a concussion test in rd 1. Expected to play rd 4. Source.
Brodie McAlister (Crusaders) - Suffered a concussion in rd 2 and will be assessed for this week. Source.
Ethan Blackadder (Crusaders) - Suffered a concussion in rd 2 and will be assessed for this week. Source.
Ofa Tuungafasi (Blues) - Was given rd 3 off to nurse niggling hand and knee injuries. Source.
Rahboni Warren-Vosayaco (Waratahs) - Played shoot shield in rd 3, surely we see him back in the team this week. Source.
Charlie Gamble (Waratahs) - Missed rd 3 with a calf injury, was apparently always a chance to play so should be fit for next week. Source.
Jake McIntyre (Western Force) - Concussion in rd 2. We would expect him back having had 2 weeks to go through the standard protocols.
Jock Campbell (Reds) - Missed last week with a groin complaint. Nothing suggesting it is serious so we may see him this week. Source.
New Injuries (Trans Tasman Rd 3):
Asafo Aumua (Hurricanes) - Came off with a concussion.
Peter Umaga-Jensen (Hurricanes) - The commentators said he came off with an arm injury. We didn't see anything on tv though.
Quinten Strange (Crusaders) - Pulled late with a sore neck. Source.
Braydon Ennor (Crusaders) - Pulled up with a sore shoulder from a big hit on Hunter Paisami and was pulled from the starting side late. Source.
Josh Goodhue (Blues) - Came off with an ankle injury and was seen on the sidelines in a boot. You'd suggest we won't see him again for at least a few weeks. Source.
Sam Nock (Blues) - Wasn't available in rd 3 due to a hip injury. Source.
Dalton Papali'i (Blues) - Appeared to aggravate a left knee injury late in the game. Will have to prove his fitness for this week. Source.
Damian McKenzie (Chiefs) - Given a red card for a direct shoulder charge to the head of McDermott. Banned for 3 weeks. Source.
Siate Tokolahi (Highlanders) - Suffered a right knee injury and come off straight away. The Physio's looked to be assessing the MCL but we will wait on more news.
Shannon Frizell (Highlanders) - Sprained his ankle in the last minute of play. Will be given every chance to play but unlikely with only a 6 day turn around. Source.
Tetera Faulkner (Waratahs) - Pulled late from the bench. No idea why yet.
Ben Donaldson (Waratahs) - Pulled his groin kicking a ball in the 22nc minute and subbed off shortly after. He has announced on Instagram that his season is over.
Rob Kearney (Western Force) - Came off for a pretty soft looking HIA in the 70th minute. No word on if he passed or failed given he never had time to come back on.

AUSTRALIA
Western Force
Byron Ralston - Taken from the field on a stretcher after being knocked out making a tackle in rd 8. Going through concussion protocols. Source.
Tomas Lezana - Missed rd 8 with a foot injury. No word on the severity. Source. May sign soon for the Scarlets. Source.
Brumbies
Jahrome Brown - Came off with a shoulder injury in rd 6 apparently his season is all but over. Source.
James Tucker - Came off with a rib injury in rd 9 that puts him in doubt for Super Rugby AU. The signing of Stowers suggests he is done for the year. Source.
Pete Samu - Suffered a knee injury and missed the grand final. Won't go on the tour to Nz. Source.
James Slipper - Reinjured his MCL in rd 10. Was desperate to play the grand final but apparently the scans showed more damage than expected. Won't go on the tour to Nz. Source.
Andy Muirhead - Came off with a right ankle injury in the grand final. Tried to play with it for 10 minutes but could not. Likely 4-8 weeks in my opinion. Won't go on the Brumbies 3 week tour of NZ. Source.Check out my twitter summary here.
Cadeyrn Neville - Injured his shoulder in the grand final and won't play in the first 3 weeks of Trans Tasman. Source.
Reds
Jordan Petaia - Tore his quad in the final and will be out for 6 weeks. Source.
Alex Mafi - Only lasted ten minutes in rd 2 before coming back off the field after Harry Wilson's try. No idea what he did.
Rebels
Emosi Tuqiri - Out with a lower-body injury. Source.
Kailea Isaac Aedo - Suffered a shoulder injury. Not sure what he has done.
Reece Hodge - Had his knee hyperextended by Anstee in rd 8. Tore his MCL and expected to be out for 10-12 weeks. Source.
Dane Haylett-Petty - Concussion symptoms returned in Grand final week at training without a head knock. Source.
Pone Fa'amausili - 3-week ban for his red card in rd 9. Should be back but we haven't heard anything about why he is missing.
Waratahs
Robbie Abel - Has an ankle injury and isn't back training two weeks out from round 1. Source.
Joey Walton - Limped off with an ankle injury in rd 1. Could miss up to three months so we might not see him again this season. Source.
Sam Wykes - Suffered an elbow/ bicep injury in rd 6. Not sure of the severity but it looked sore! Source.
James Ramm - Dislocated his shoulder in SR AU rd 10, no word on if he is having an operation yet, but he should miss at least 6 weeks. Source.
Max Douglas - Came off after just 3 minutes with a wrist injury in rd 2 and was no chance of playing rd 3. Source.
Hugh Sinclair - Suffered a shoulder injury in rd 2 which ruled him out of rd 3. Source.
NEW ZEALAND
Toni Brown has let out that there is no set plan to rest All Blacks this year - Source.
Highlanders
Daniel Lienert-Brown (Highlanders) - Came off with a bad-looking shoulder injury. Aiming to be back near the end of Trans Tasman. Source.
Chiefs
Laghlan McWhannell - Currently has a knee injury which we assume is still the patella tendon debridement from last year. Word is that he has had further surgery. Missed all of 2020 and now has had an injury replacement brought in so we assume he is out for some time. Source.
Sean Wainui - Came off with a hamstring injury in rd 10, but missed rd 2 of Trans Tasman with a shoulder injury. Source.
Samipeni Finau - Been out of contention for the last three games due to a shoulder problem. No word on if he will be back in rd 3. Source.
Hurricanes
Tevita Mafileo - Picked up a knee injury after he was hit late and high during a Hurricanes try movement. Didn't play rd 2. Source.
Crusaders
Joe Moody - Apparently out for 4-5 months with an injury to his plantarfascia. Source.
Blues
Ray Niuia – Had a knee injury that cost him his 2020 season. Still struggling with a knee injury this year. Source.
Josiah Maraku - Listed as injured before the last preseason game. No other details yet. Source.
Sam Darry - Has a "head injury" and hasn't played in the first 3 rds of Trans Tasman. No more details yet. Source.
Gone for the season:
Andrew Makalio (Crusaders) - has been ruled out of the 2021 Super Rugby season due to a neck injury. Source.
Tom Christie (Crusaders) - Dislocated his shoulder in rd 3 and will have surgery. He won't play again this year. Return to sport is roughly 6 months. Source.
Jack Goodhue (Crusaders) - Has torn his ACL, PCL and MCL against the Hurricanes and won't play rugby again in 2021 as he goes under the knife. Source.
George Bridge (Crusaders) - Missed rd 2, and will miss the rest of the season with apendicitis. Source.
Jermaine Ainsley (Highlanders) - Ruled out for the majority of SR Aotearoa due to a high ankle sprain sustained the week before the first trial. Source.
Fetuli Paea (Highlanders) - Ruled out of the rest of the season after injuring his ankle in the last preseason trial. Source.
Freedom Vahaakolo (Highlanders) - Broke his left foot in training during the week and is out for the season. Source.
Thomas Umaga-Jenson (Highlanders) - Out for the season after breaking his arm in rd 6. Expected to recover in 12 weeks. Source.
Folau Fakatava (Highlanders) - Ruptured his ACL and he will be gone for the season. Source.
Connor Garden-Bachop (Highlanders) - Broke his wrist and is out for the rest of the season. Source.
Liam Squire (Highlanders) - Has flared up his knee injury and is out for the season. Source.
Marino Mikaele-Tu'u (Highlanders) - Was ruled out for the rest of the season with a stress fracture in his leg. Source.
Simon Hickey (Hurricanes) - Tore his ACL in preseason and will miss the entire 2021 season. Orbyn Leger is likely to get a full contract as injury cover. Source.
Jackson Garden-Bachop (Hurricanes) - Had surgery on his achilles tear, ruling him out for up to 9 months. Source.
Jamie Booth (Hurricanes) - Tore his MCL and PCL in his knee, plus fractured his tibial plateau (surface of his knee joint). Had an operation in October. Aiming to play for the Turbo's in preason on July 23. Source.
James Parsons (Blues) - Retiring on medical advice, after being out of the game for several months from a head injury. Source.
Jone Macalai (Blues) - Listed as injured before the last preseason game. apparently out for the year. Source.
Dillon Hunt (Blues) - Listed as injured before the last preseason game. Apparently out with a long-term concussion. Source.
Emoni Narawa (Blues) - Gone for all of Trans Tasman with an unkown injury. Source
Etene Nanai-Seturo (Chiefs) - Will not play Trans Tasman after going back to sevens. Source.
Kini Naholo (Chiefs) - Will miss the entire 2021 Super Rugby campaign with injury.
Sam Cane (Chiefs) - Ruptured his pec tendon in rd 4, had surgery and is gone for six months. Source.
Kaylum Boshier (Chiefs) - Dislocated his shoulder in rd 9 and will have a reconstruction operation. Out for 6 months. Source.
Mitchell Karpik (Chiefs) - Suffered a knee injury and is having an arthroscopy (surgery) which will rule him out for 2-3 months. We suspect it would be a meniscus injury given the time frame. Source.
Simon Parker (Chiefs) - Had surgery on April 15th for a plantar plate repair (under his big toe), is expected to be out for 6 months. Source.
Solomon Alaimalo (Chiefs) - As of rd 6 he is not training with the squad as he deals with some personal issues. Has now been replaced for Trans Tasman. Source.
Julian Montoya (Western Force) - Couldn't get a visa for his wife so is no longer join the Force. He is joining Leicester Tigers instead. Source.
Rhys van Nek (Rebels) - The young prop is out for the season with a hamstring injury. Source.
