Returned from Injury in Rd 13
Ryan Crotty (Crusaders) - Back from his precautionary rest from a head knock.
Andrew Makalio (Crusaders) - Back from a calf injury.
TJ Perenara (Hurricanes) - Back from All Black's rest week last week.
Ben Lam (Hurricanes) - Tore his calf before rd 11, finally made his return and scored an outrageous try.
Tanielu Tele’a (Blues) - Back from a 4 week ban.
Liam Squire (Highlanders) – Back from a hip and knee injury via the bench.
Mitch Karpik (Chiefs) - Recovered from a knee injury to take Boshier's spot in the starting side.
Alex Nankivell (Chiefs) - Missed round 12 with illness. Made a huge impact off the bench.
Tevita Kuridrani (Brumbies) - Came back from a minor knee injury.
Caleb Timu (Reds) - Back from a 5 week ban during rd 7 for punching someone in a club game of footy.
Michael Wells (Waratahs) - Back from a hamstring tear in round 11.
Tolu Latu (Waratahs) - Back from a rd 11 calf injury.
Dan Pryor (Sunwolves) - Has missed both rounds 11 and 12 with a foot injury but back off the bench this week.
Jeronimo de la Fuente (Jaguares) -Pulled pregame with an "illness in his foot" in rd 12, started in rd 13.
Vincent Tshituka (Lions) - Missed six weeks with an ankle injury.
Courtnall Skosan (Lions) - Back from personal leave.
Dylan Smith (Lions) - Broke his cheek bone in round 5, coming back via the bench.
Aphiwe Dyantyi (Lions) - Started after his rd 11 concussion.
Warren Whiteley (Lions) - Recovered from a small cartilage tear in his knee before rd 11.
Schalk Brits (Bulls) - Red carded for punching on with Akkers in round 7. Confirmed as a 4 week ban but still not selected in round 12.
Jason Jenkins (Bulls) - Back from a pec injury this week.
Burger Odendaal (Bulls) - Ruled out late rd 12 with an eye injury. Had no issues this week and started at round 13.

New Injuries Rd 13:
Harry Plummer (Blues) - Failed his concussion test.
Sam Nock (Blues) - Came off with a hand injury.
Joshua Goodhue (Blues) - Failed his concussion test.
Fraser Armstrong (Hurricanes) - Failed his concussion test.
James Blackwell (Hurricanes) - Came off with a shoulder injury.
Joe Moody (Crusaders) - Came off with a leg injury, needed 2 people to assist him off the field. Apparently only missing this week as a rest to help his leg settle.
Liam Squire (Highlanders) - Squire will miss the tour to deal with family issues, at least for the first week, but as it stands it’s likely to be the duration of the tour. Source.
Tevita Li (Highlanders) - Tore his hamstring in the win, is in doubt for the two week tour but will be assessed on Monday. Source.
Daniel Lienert-Brown (Highlanders) - Missed the game with a stomach bug, he had apparently lost a lot of weight and was not well. Back in the tour squad. Source.
Hamish Stewart (Reds) - Came off with a right shoulder injury in the first half. Was apparently seen arriving home in a sling, they are apparently worried it could be serious. Source.
Quade Cooper (Rebels) - Got a heavy concussion when he collided with Kerevi's knee making a tackle. Cleared to start this week on Wednesday but he probably still has a level or two of his protocols to get through. Source.
Isi Naisarani (Rebels) - Out of at least this round 14 with a knee foot injury. Source.
Luke Jones (Rebels) - Fractured his eye socket before round 14, will miss this week but no other details yet. I would think he is gone for the standard six weeks. Source.
Ryohei Yamanaka (Sunwolves) - Knocked out and robbed bad Tom Banks. Bank's knee collided with his head in the tackle, then when he was out Banks turned the ball over.
Grant Hattingh (Sunwolves) - Came off early with a knee injury, managed to limp off himself with some discomfort.
Warrick Gelant (Bulls) - Missed this week with tonsilitis after originally being named. Is in the tour squad for this week. Source.
Warren Whiteley (Lions) - Injured and will miss round 14. No more details yet. Source.
Thomas du Toit (Sharks) - Came off with a leg injury, wouldn't put it on the ground as two support staff helped him off.
Javier Díaz (Jaguares) - Suffered a tear to his left Adductor (groin), out for 3 and 4 weeks. Source.

Likely back for this week (Rd 14):
Sam Whitelock (Crusaders) - Missed the first tour game against the Bulls because he just had a baby. Will fly over to play round 14. Source.
Lachlan Boshier (Chiefs) - Came off the field after 20 minutes round 12 with a back injury. Likely to play this week. Source.
Michael Allardice (Chiefs) - Came off after only 26 minutes with a knee injury in round 12. Should play this week. Source.
Sam Cane (Chiefs) – Fractured his neck against South Africa last year. Could be back in round 14, otherwise he will play the Reds the following week. Source.
Waisake Naholo (Highlanders) - Injured his MCL before round 8. Expected back in the squad for the tour. Source.
Teihorangi Walden (Highlanders) - Should be back in contention for the tour of SA. Source.
Tom English (Rebels) - Missed rd 13 with a slight tear of his calf. We assume that means he will be back in the mix this week. Source.
Matt Toomua (Rebels) – Released a week early to join up with his team on Monday, if Quade doesn't recover in time for Friday's game he is expected to play. Otherwise we will see him in rd 15. Source.
Jed Holloway (Waratahs) - Red carded for elbowing Thomas du Toit in the head. Banned for 3 weeks, back round 15. Source.
Semisi Masirewa (Sunwolves) - Two yellow cards, turned into a red in rd 12. First one for being offside and the second for a high tackle. He has been banned for 1 week.
Siya Kolisi (Stormers) - Rested for round 12. Source.
Frans Malherbe (Stormers) - Rested for round 12. Source.
Pieter-Steph du Toit (Stormers) - Came off with a shoulder injury in rd 11, expected back after their rd 13 bye. Source.
Cyle Brink (Lions) - Had a small ligament strain in his knee from rd 11. Originally targeting round 13 so should be back this week. Source.

Ongoing Injury List:
NEW ZEALAND
All Blacks are expected to miss two weeks during the Super Rugby season.
All Blacks are also not meant to play more than 6 game weeks in a row.
Highlanders
Kalolo Tuiloma – The prop is hemopodue to injury. No more news yet. Source here.
Marty Banks - Suffered a broken bone in his foot in rd 8 and will be unavailable for four to six weeks. Source.
Ben Smith - A high hamstring tear and a concussion in round 12. He is expected to return between 6-8 weeks from the hamstring injury (returning between the quarter final or grand final), so that could be the end of his season. Source.
Jackson Hemopo - His knee injury that caused him to miss rd 13 is now set to make him miss round 14 and 15. Source.
Hurricanes
The Hurricanes in 2018 wouldn’t play anyone that isn’t fit to play fully on Monday of the game week.
Andries Ferreira - Suffered another knee injury. Has been sent back to South Africa to recover. At this stage he is not going to play with the Hurricanes, but they haven't ruled out something in the future. Source.
Nehe Milner-Skudder – Injured his shoulder on November 3. Recovery has been pushed back even further, only stben larting some contact work after round 11 and may not even play again this season. Source.
Dane Coles - Strained his calf mid week before rd 7. No firm return date, we only know that he will be "back at some point this season". Source.
Liam Mitchell - Looks like he might have broken his hand in rd 12. Source.
Alex Fidow - Pulled pregame round 12 as he tried to return from an injury. Not sure what he has done.
Richard Judd - Apparently had a minor shoulder injury. Missing round 13 at least. Source.
Gareth Evans – Has a calf strain from rd 2, we have been saying he is due back since round 8, so let's be honest, we have no idea what he is doing. Source.
Chiefs
The Chiefs in 2018 – “There was a team policy this year to give injured players an extra week to ensure they were fully fit.”
Kane Hames – Still going through concussion protocols from last year, expected to play “very soon”, but no clear time line. Source here.
Aidan Ross - Ruled out of round 9 and 10 with a neck injury. Source.
Brodie Retallick - Copped a shoulder stinger in the dying stages of rd 9. Also has a wrist injury that will likely see him return in round 15. Source.
Laghlan McWhannell - Got injured in Waikato club footy on Saturday. Unavailable for rd 13. Source.
Jack Debreczeni - Stretchered off on half time with another concussion in round 10. No word on his recovery yet.
Crusaders
Tim Perry – Broke his forearm Badly, needed a pin and plate. Apparently his season could be over. They are hoping he could he is back by rd 18 at the earliest. Source here.
Owen Franks - Confirmed to have a small "tear" in his shoulder (I assume they mean rotator cuff). He will miss at least the next four weeks from round 12. So at the earliest he will be back round 16. Source.
Will Jordan - Injured his foot in the first half of round 12, will miss at least the entire two week tour of South Africa (rd 13-14). Source.
Blues
Jimmy Tupou – ACL reconstruction mid May 2018, “still working back from it”, standard rehab of 9 months would put him back around mid Feb, but that can vary a lot. Source here.
Stephen Perofeta – Preseason pec muscle injury, apparently he could be gone for 16 weeks! Season pretty much gone….
Leni Apisai – Neck
Ezekiel Lindenmuth – Knee

Sonny Bill Williams - Missed round 8 with a knee injury. Aiming to return in rd 15 against the Crusaders. Source.

AUSTRALIA
The Australian sides have reached a “handshake agreement” with Rugby Australia to rest their Wallabies throughout the year. Most likely one or two weeks, but it is worth knowing when comparing to last seasons efforts. Source here.
Brumbies
David Pocock – The calf tear that never ends. Expected to miss round 13, maybe back after the rd 14 bye. Source.
Rory Arnold - Came off with an ankle injury round 12, not as bad as first thought, he could play after the round 14 bye. Source.
Lachlan McCaffrey - Aggravated his medial ligament in his knee in rd 9. Was touch and go for rd 13, back after the rd 14 bye. Source.
Rob Valetini - Dislocated knee cap in rd 5, just missed rd 13 so likely back after the bye. Source.
Reds
James Tuttle – Ruptured his Achilles tendon in the NRC during late October last year. Recovery is an absolute minimum of 6 months, more likely 8-9 months (as per SBW and Slipper) which puts him at a return in May at the absolute earliest, more likely late June/ July. Probably his season gone! Source here.
Feao Fotuaika - Out for round 7 after fracturing his thumb. Source.
Filipo Daugunu - Broke his forearm in rd 8, so most likely out for six weeks.
Harry Hockings - Red card for putting a boot into Vosayco's face Rd 12. There wasn't a lot in it, but had to be a red, confirmed he is banned for three weeks so should be back in round 16. Source.
Rebels
Jordan Uelese – Has recovered from his knee reconstruction in 2018. Played club footy for the first time in rd 13 and will play in a Rebels B team against the Wolf Pack in rd 14. Source.
Adam Coleman (Rebels) - Has a niggly shoulder injury which has now had him miss rounds 12-14. Source.
Waratahs
Jack Dempsey - Suffered a back injury in rd 11, hasn't gone on tour for round 12 or 13. Source.
Rory O'Connor - Suffered a rib injury in rd 11, hasn't gone on tour for round 12 or 13. Source.

SOUTH AFRICA
Sharks
Craig Burden - Pulled pregame rd 6 with a hamstring tear, recovered in time to play but then injured his bicep in the same week and had to have surgery! Expected to be gone for 8-12 weeks. Source.
Juan Schoeman - Came off with a badly injured leg after a scrum collapsed on him in round 10. Looked bad.
Tendai Mtawarira - Tore his MCL (knee) in round 11. Most likely to be back in round 16. Source.
Akker van der Merwe - returned home before rd 13 with a slight shoulder injury. Source.
Stormers
Ramone Samuels – Severe Knee injury in August of last year. No definite come back date yet. Source here.
Daniel du Plessis - Right knee injury. News has gotten worse for Dan, before round 10 they said he will "be out for a while". Source.
Chris van Zyl - Ruled out for at least six weeks due to a back injury in rd 8 (back rd 15). Source.
SP Marais - Injured his hip flexor trying to convert the Stormers last try in rd 8. Sent home from tour so at least won't play round 9. Source.
Jano Vermaak - The scrum half is likely back in the next two weeks (said before round 10). Source.
Salmaan Moerat - Came off with what looked like a bad concussion in round 10.
Ruhan Nel - Fractured his ankle at training before round 11. No word on a return date but I would think at least six weeks.
Ernst van Rhyn - The loose forward suffered an elbow injury in rd 11, looks set to be out for up to six weeks. Source.
Sergeal Petersen - Went down with a knee injury at the start of rd 12. Source.
JD Schickerling - Didn't come back on after half time rd 12, it isn't known whether or not it was an injury at this stage.
Bulls
Edgar Marutlulle – Injured his achilles. Before round 6 his injury had been extended to more than six weeks away. Source.
Marnitz Boshoff – Originally expected back in April. More than six weeks from Rd 6. Source.
Marco Jansen van Vuren - On the long term injury list. More than six weeks from Rd 6. Source.
Jesse Kriel - Injured his ankle in round 11 and needs surgery. Will be available in 6-8 weeks. Source.
Jade Stighling - Came off with a concussion. Won't play round 12. Source.
Hanro Liebenberg - Concussed rd 12, was unlikely to play the Crusaders this week and now isn't in the tour squad. Source.
Lions
Lourens Erasmus – Fractured Tibia and Fibula through the ankle, 6-9 months recovery puts him back around June/ July so he could miss the entire season. Source here.
Len Massyn – Shoulder injury, aiming to be back in April. Source here.
Dillon Smit - Hamstring injury. Took a knock in training before round 5 and will only be available for selection again in the next four to six weeks. Source.
Jacobie Adriaanse - Hamstring injury before rd 9. Source.
Pieter Jansen - Calf injury before rd 9. Source.
Ruan Vermaak - Fractured right thumb before rd 9. Source.

Jaguares
Joaquin Tuculet - Pulled mid week round 11 because his knee swelled up, not on tour for rds 13-16. Source.
Sunwolves
20 players are in an international camp from Feb 2 to March 1 so are unlikely to feature in the first 3 rounds of the year. Source here. UPDATE: Apparently they are expected back around week 6.
Craig Millar – Suffered a fracture and dislocation in his left foot. Will be out for 12 weeks starting rd 3. Source here.
Ed Quirk – Tore the MCL on the inside of his knee. Requires an operation and 8-10 weeks off (20th April- 5th May). Source here.
Shane Gates – Broke through his lower leg in round 3. If he broke both bones as it looked, he will be going for surgery and should be gone for a significant period of time. Source here.
Michael Little - Concussed in rd 5. Before Rd 10 he said he should be "okay in a couple of weeks" but he still isn't in the tour squad for rounds 12 and 13. Source.
Amanaki Mafi - Spent round 10 and 11 with the international squad and now not in the tour squad for round 12 and 13. Source.

Aki Seiuli (Highlanders) – Apparently out for the season.
Richard Buckman (Highlanders) -Having an operation on an Achilles tear, out for the season. Source.
Tevita Nabura (Highlanders) - Suffered a season ending knee injury. Source.
Bryn Gatland (Highlanders) - Came of with a serious left foot injury in round 11. Sounds like a bad Lis Franc injury which is what Nehe Milner-Skudder had last year, gone for 6 months. Source.
Mitchell Graham (Chiefs) – Fractured his tibia and fibula back in the 2017 Brisbane Tens, still unsure of a comeback date as he works with specialists to stop his leg pain. Source here 28th November. He still can’t run and doesn’t have a squad spot for 2019.
Tiaan Falcon (Chiefs) – Ruptured his Achilles tendon and is gone for the entire season. This means a big increase in minutes for Debreczini, and now Stephen Donald has been signed up. Source here.
Damian McKenzie (Chiefs) - Has torn his ACL and will be having a reconstruction in the next few weeks. Out for the season and the RWC. Source.
Sam Lousi (Hurricanes) – Torn his pec muscle, having an operation and is out for the year. Source here.
Vince Aso (Hurricanes) – His round 4 pec injury will now rule him out for the season. Source.
Manasa Mataele (Crusaders) – It has finally been confirmed that his season is over after rupturing his ACL. Hopefully he is back terrorising defences next season. Source here.
Israel Dagg (Crusaders) – Officially retired from rugby at age 30 due to his arthritic knee.
Tom Sanders (Crusaders) -Dislocated his shoulder in round 6. He has had surgery before round 8 and won't be back for six months. Source.
Ben Hyne (Brumbies) – Re-tore his ACL just before Christmas, will likely miss the full season. Source here.
Josh Mann-Rea (Brumbies) - Flown home from the tour after tearing his ACL against the Stormers. Gone for the season. Source.
Jordan Petaia (Reds) – Has a Lisfranc injury from rd 3. Likely out for the season.
Jack Hardy (Reds) - Tore his ACL in round 10. Gone for the year. Source.
Sean McMahon (Sunwolves) – Is having preseason foot surgery on a Lisfranc injury which rules him out for the year. As a result his contract has been cancelled with the Sunwolves. Source here. Shota Horie (Sunwolves) – Had surgery on his right foot to treat a stress fracture. His return is not clear at this stage, however he is targeting playing in the Pacific Nations Cup in July. Source here.
Rene Ranger (Sunwolves) – Did his ACL trying to step off his right leg in rd 1. Gone for the season.
Garth April (Bulls) – Required surgery on his shoulder and probably won’t be seen for the season.
Lood de Jager (Bulls)– Will miss the remainder of the Super Rugby season to get shoulder surgery. He is out for 4-5 months so we expect he needs either a shoulder reconstruction or pec muscle repair. Source here.
Gianni Lombard (Lions) - Tore his ACL, MCL and menisucs trying step someone in round 10, gone for the season. Source.
Gonzalo Bertranou (Jaguares) – Dislocated his shoulder and is having an operation on the 22nd of February. No return date has been set, but generally it is a five month lay off (mid July at the earliest). Source here.
Bautista Delguy (Jaguares) - Had surgery for an ankle injury after round 5 and has been ruled out for 4 months. Gone for the season. Had screws removed from his left ankle and is training heavy in the gym. Source.
Matías Alemanno (Jaguares) - Had an operation on his big toe for a Hallux Valgus (bunion), back in the gym now. Source.
