Returned from Injury in Rd 14
Sam Cane (Chiefs) – Fractured his neck against South Africa last year. Made his comeback earlier than expected this week off the bench and looked confident.
Aidan Ross (Chiefs) - Recovered from his neck injury in round 8.
Laghlan McWhannell (Chiefs) - Back from a Waikato club footy injury in round 12. The highly rated lock came off the bench
Daniel Lienert-Brown (Highlanders) - Missed last week with a stomach bug. Came off the bench this week.
Sam Whitelock (Crusaders) - Returned after having a rest with the birth of his child.
Teihorangi Walden (Highlanders) - Started this week but got concussed by half time.
Matt Toomua (Rebels) – Released early from Leicester to take his spot on the bench. Came on late for Quade.
Caleb Timu (Reds) - Back from his ban but got concussed shortly after taking the field.
Warrick Gelant (Bulls) - Missed last week with tonsilitis, played at fullback this week.
Siya Kolisi (Stormers) - Back from a Springbok rest and looked in top form.
Frans Malherbe (Stormers) - Back from a Springbok rest and started with Wilco Louw a late withdrawl.
Pieter-Steph du Toit (Stormers) - Back from a shoulder injury to start.
Cyle Brink (Lions) - Back from a round 11 knee ligament sprain.

New Injuries Rd 14:
Sean Wainui (Chiefs) - Pulled pregame because his wife went into labour.
Luke Jacobson (Chiefs) - Copped a concussion during the week and missed the game. Source.
Mitchell Brown (Chiefs) - Injured his knee, apparently he is gone for the season. Source.
Karl Tu'inukuafe (Blues) - Pulled midweek with a viral illness before rd 14, still not right for rd 15. Source.
James Parsons (Blues) - Pulled pregame with a sore back. Source.
Dalton Papalii (Blues) - Suffered a head knock and won't play round 15. Source.
Matt Moulds (Blues) - Done for the season with a hand injury. Source.
Tei Walden (Highlanders) - Got concussed, will miss round 15. Source.
Waisake Naholo (Highlanders) - Pulled pregame for his ongoing knee injury. Source.
Ryan Crotty (Crusaders) - Apparently just a head cut, not actually a concussion as many feared. Source.
Codie Taylor (Crusaders) - Broke his finger in round 14. Gone for a month so will miss the rest of the regular season. Source.
Tolu Latu (Waratahs) - Being charged for a drink driving charge mid-week. Due to face court on the 6th of June. Source.
Israel Folau (Waratahs) - His contract has officially been torn up after he posted inflammatory posts on instagram about a month ago.
JP Smith (Reds) - Concussion, failed his HIA around the 20 minute mark. Not travelling with the team this week.
Caleb Timu (Reds) - Got heavily concussed shortly after coming on to the field. Not travelling with the team this week.
Chris Feauai-Sautia (Reds) - Has injured his knee. Not sure any details yet. Source.
Samu Kerevi (Reds) - Set to be rested in round 15.
Wilco Louw (Stormers) - Pulled pregame with a groin niggle. Source.
Damian de Allende (Stormers) - Came off with a leg injury. Has to pass a fitness test later in the week. Source.
Bongi Mbonambi (Stormer) - Came off with a quad injury. Has to pass a fitness test later in the week. Source.
Sebastián Cancelliere (Stormers) - Suffered a small tear of his iliopsoas (hip flexor) and will be out for two weeks. Source.
Handre Pollard (Bulls) - Will miss Rd 15 due to a calf strain picked up in training earlier this week. Has returned home to South Africa. Source.
Joaquin Tuculet (Jaguares) -His knee has recovered, he has been flown in this week to cover Cancelliere's injury. Source.

Likely back for this week (Rd 15):
Lachlan Boshier (Chiefs) - Came off the field after 20 minutes round 12 with a back injury. Likely to play this week. Source.
Jack Debreczeni (Chiefs) - Stretchered off on half time with another concussion in round 10. Back on the bench this week.
Joe Moody (Crusaders) - Came off with a deep gash in his knee, got stitches and is a maybe for round 15 against the Blues. Source.
Liam Squire (Highlanders) - Missed the 1st week of the tour to deal with family issues, likely to be the duration of the tour but watch this space. Source.
Waisake Naholo (Highlanders) - Injured his MCL before round 8. Was named on the bench last week but couldn't take the field because of his ongoing knee injury, is expected to be ready this week. Source.
Jed Holloway (Waratahs) - Red carded for elbowing Thomas du Toit in the head. Banned for 3 weeks, back round 16. Source.
Rory Arnold (Brumbies) - Came off with an ankle injury round 12, not as bad as first thought, will play this week. Source.
Rob Valetini (Brumbies) - Dislocated knee cap in rd 5, back off the bench this week. Source.
Adam Coleman (Rebels) - Expected to be back from a shoulder injury which has ruled him out since round 12. Source.
Jordan Uelese (Rebels) – Has recovered from his knee reconstruction in 2018. Back on the bench for round 15 after coming through his Rebels Rising game last week.
Tom English (Rebels) - Has to prove his fitness from a calf tear but is expected to be back this week. Already missed the last two weeks. Source.
Semisi Masirewa (Sunwolves) - Two yellow cards, turned into a red in rd 12. First one for being offside and the second for a high tackle. He has been banned for 1 week.
Amanaki Mafi (Sunwolves) - Back in the squad for round 15. Source.
Craig Millar (Sunwolves) – Suffered a fracture and dislocation in his left foot in rd 3. Back in the squad this year. Source.
Sylvian Mahuza (Lions) - Back playing for the Golden Lions in rd 14 after recovering from an LCL injury in rd 11. If he is going to be selected then it will be this week. Source.
Wandisile Simelane (Lions) - Back playing for the Golden Lions in round 14. Source.

NEW ZEALAND
All Blacks are expected to miss two weeks during the Super Rugby season.
All Blacks are also not meant to play more than 6 game weeks in a row.
Highlanders
Kalolo Tuiloma – The prop is hemopodue to injury. No more news yet. Source here.
Marty Banks - Suffered a broken bone in his foot in rd 8 and will be unavailable for four to six weeks. Source.
Ben Smith - A high hamstring tear and a concussion in round 12. He is expected to return between 6-8 weeks from the hamstring injury (returning between the quarter final or grand final), so that could be the end of his season. Source.
Jackson Hemopo - His knee injury that caused him to miss rd 13 is now set to make him miss round 14 and 15. Source.
Tevita Li - Tore his hamstring in rd 13, not on the two week tour. Source.
Hurricanes
The Hurricanes in 2018 wouldn’t play anyone that isn’t fit to play fully on Monday of the game week.
Andries Ferreira - Suffered another knee injury. Has been sent back to South Africa to recover. At this stage he is not going to play with the Hurricanes, but they haven't ruled out something in the future. Source.
Nehe Milner-Skudder – Injured his shoulder on November 3. Recovery has been pushed back even further, only stben larting some contact work after round 11 and may not even play again this season. Source.
Dane Coles - Strained his calf mid week before rd 7. No firm return date, we only know that he will be "back at some point this season". Source.
Liam Mitchell - Looks like he might have broken his hand in rd 12. Source.
Alex Fidow - Pulled pregame round 12 as he tried to return from an injury. Not sure what he has done.
Richard Judd - Apparently had a minor shoulder injury. Missing round 13 at least. Source.
Gareth Evans – Has a calf strain from rd 2, we have been saying he is due back since round 8, so let's be honest, we have no idea what he is doing. Source.
Fraser Armstrong - Failed his concussion test in rd 13 and missed rd 14.
Chiefs
The Chiefs in 2018 – “There was a team policy this year to give injured players an extra week to ensure they were fully fit.”
Kane Hames – Still going through concussion protocols from last year, expected to play “very soon”, but no clear time line. Source here.
Michael Allardice - Came off after only 26 minutes with a knee injury in round 12. Was expected to play round 15 but wasn't named. Source.
Brodie Retallick - Copped a shoulder stinger in the dying stages of rd 9. Also has a wrist injury. Nigel Yalden thinks his return has been pushed back to round 18!
Crusaders
Tim Perry – Broke his forearm Badly, needed a pin and plate. Apparently his season could be over. They are hoping he could he is back by rd 18 at the earliest. Source here.
Owen Franks - Confirmed to have a small "tear" in his shoulder (I assume they mean rotator cuff). He will miss at least the next four weeks from round 12. So at the earliest he will be back round 16. Source.
Will Jordan - Injured his foot in the first half of round 12, may miss the rest of the season. Source.
Kieran Read - Pulled pregame Rd 14 after injuring his shoulder/ neck area. "Like a stinger that hasn't gone away". Source. Apparently not playing rd 14 because of an All Black's rest week. Source.
Blues
Jimmy Tupou – ACL reconstruction mid May 2018, “still working back from it”, standard rehab of 9 months would put him back around mid Feb, but that can vary a lot. Source here.
Stephen Perofeta – Preseason pec muscle injury, apparently he could be gone for 16 weeks! Season pretty much gone.
Leni Apisai – Neck
Ezekiel Lindenmuth – Knee

Sione Mafileo - Facing a stint on the sideline after suffering an ankle during round 10. Source.

AUSTRALIA
The Australian sides have reached a “handshake agreement” with Rugby Australia to rest their Wallabies throughout the year. Most likely one or two weeks, but it is worth knowing when comparing to last seasons efforts. Source here.
Brumbies
David Pocock – The calf tear that never ends. Now ruled out of rd 15 as well. His Super Rugby season could even be over. Source.
Lachlan McCaffrey - Aggravated his medial ligament in his knee in rd 9. Coming back through club rugby in round 15. Source.
Reds
James Tuttle – Ruptured his Achilles tendon in the NRC during late October last year. Recovery is an absolute minimum of 6 months, more likely 8-9 months (as per SBW and Slipper) which puts him at a return in May at the absolute earliest, more likely late June/ July. Probably his season gone! Source here.
Feao Fotuaika - Out for round 7 after fracturing his thumb. Source.
Filipo Daugunu - Broke his forearm in rd 8, so most likely out for six weeks.
Harry Hockings - Red card for putting a boot into Vosayco's face Rd 12. There wasn't a lot in it, but had to be a red, confirmed he is banned for three weeks so should be back in round 16. Source.
Hamish Stewart - Came off with a right shoulder injury in rd 13. Was apparently seen arriving home in a sling, they are apparently worried it could be serious. Source.
Rebels
Isi Naisarani - Out for 2 weeks from round 14 with a big toe injury. Source.
Luke Jones - Has a hairline fractured eye socket from before round 14, will miss 1-2 weeks. Source.
Waratahs
Jack Dempsey - Suffered a back injury in rd 11, hasn't gone on tour for round 12 or 13. Source.
Rory O'Connor - Suffered a rib injury in rd 11, hasn't gone on tour for round 12 or 13. Source.

Sharks
Craig Burden - Expected back from his bicep muscle repair surgery for round 17. Source.
Juan Schoeman - Came off with a badly injured leg after a scrum collapsed on him in round 10. Looked bad.
Tendai Mtawarira - Tore his MCL (knee) in round 11. Was targeting a round 16 return and now confirmed he won't play rd 15. Source.
Akker van der Merwe - returned home before rd 13 with a shoulder injury, will not play round 15. Source.
Thomas du Toit - Rd 13 suffered an ankle sprain. "Doubtful" for rd 15. Source.
Lwazi Mvovo - Struggling with an ankle sprain. Back in round 17. Source.
Stormers
Ramone Samuels – Severe Knee injury in August of last year. No definite come back date yet. Source here.
Daniel du Plessis - Right knee injury. News has gotten worse for Dan, before round 10 they said he will "be out for a while". Source.
Chris van Zyl - Ruled out for at least six weeks due to a back injury in rd 8 (back rd 15). Source.
SP Marais - Injured his hip flexor trying to convert the Stormers last try in rd 8. Sent home from tour so at least won't play round 9. Source.
Salmaan Moerat - Came off with what looked like a bad concussion in round 10.
Ruhan Nel - Fractured his ankle at training before round 11. No word on a return date but I would think at least six weeks.
Ernst van Rhyn - The loose forward suffered an elbow injury in rd 11, looks set to be out for up to six weeks. Source.
Sergeal Petersen - Went down with a knee injury at the start of rd 12. Source.
JD Schickerling - Injured his hand in round 12 and has missed rds 13 and 14. No idea when he will be back at this stage.
Bulls
Edgar Marutlulle – Injured his achilles. Before round 6 his injury had been extended to more than six weeks away. Source.
Marnitz Boshoff – Originally expected back in April. More than six weeks from Rd 6. Source.
Marco Jansen van Vuren - On the long term injury list. More than six weeks from Rd 6. Source.
Jesse Kriel - Injured his ankle in round 11 and needs surgery. Will be available in 6-8 weeks. Source.
Jade Stighling - Came off with a concussion. Won't play round 12. Source.
Hanro Liebenberg - Concussed rd 12, was unlikely to play the Crusaders this week and now isn't in the tour squad. Source.
Lions
Lourens Erasmus – Fractured Tibia and Fibula through the ankle, 6-9 months recovery puts him back around June/ July so he could miss the entire season. Source here.

Dillon Smit - Hamstring injury. Took a knock in training before round 5 and will only be available for selection again in the next four to six weeks. Source.

Jaguares
Javier Díaz - Suffered a tear to his left Adductor (groin) in rd 13, out for 3 to 4 weeks (rd 17-18). Source.
Sunwolves
20 players are in an international camp from Feb 2 to March 1 so are unlikely to feature in the first 3 rounds of the year. Source here. UPDATE: Apparently they are expected back around week 6.
Ed Quirk – Tore the MCL on the inside of his knee. Requires an operation and 8-10 weeks off (20th April- 5th May). Source here.
Shane Gates – Broke through his lower leg in round 3. If he broke both bones as it looked, he will be going for surgery and should be gone for a significant period of time. Source here.
Michael Little - Concussed in rd 5. Not training with the squad before round 15. Source.
Ryohei Yamanaka - Bad concussion in rd 13. Bank's knee collided with his head in the tackle.
Grant Hattingh - Came off early with a knee injury in rd 13, managed to limp off himself with some discomfort. No update yet.

Richard Buckman (Highlanders) -Having an operation on an Achilles tear, out for the season. Source.
Tevita Nabura (Highlanders) - Suffered a season ending knee injury. Source.
Bryn Gatland (Highlanders) - Came of with a serious left foot injury in round 11. Sounds like a bad Lis Franc injury which is what Nehe Milner-Skudder had last year, gone for 6 months. Source.
Mitchell Graham (Chiefs) – Fractured his tibia and fibula back in the 2017 Brisbane Tens, still unsure of a comeback date as he works with specialists to stop his leg pain. Source here 28th November. He still can’t run and doesn’t have a squad spot for 2019.
Tiaan Falcon (Chiefs) – Ruptured his Achilles tendon and is gone for the entire season. This means a big increase in minutes for Debreczini, and now Stephen Donald has been signed up. Source here.
Damian McKenzie (Chiefs) - Has torn his ACL and will be having a reconstruction in the next few weeks. Out for the season and the RWC. Source.
Sam Lousi (Hurricanes) – Torn his pec muscle, having an operation and is out for the year. Source here.
Vince Aso (Hurricanes) – His round 4 pec injury will now rule him out for the season. Source.
Manasa Mataele (Crusaders) – It has finally been confirmed that his season is over after rupturing his ACL. Hopefully he is back terrorising defences next season. Source here.
Israel Dagg (Crusaders) – Officially retired from rugby at age 30 due to his arthritic knee.
Tom Sanders (Crusaders) -Dislocated his shoulder in round 6. He has had surgery before round 8 and won't be back for six months. Source. Sam Nock (Blues) - Had an operation on his finger after breaking it in round 13, gone for the season. Source.
Ben Hyne (Brumbies) – Re-tore his ACL just before Christmas, will likely miss the full season. Source here.
Josh Mann-Rea (Brumbies) - Flown home from the tour after tearing his ACL against the Stormers. Gone for the season. Source.
Jordan Petaia (Reds) – Had an operation on a Lisfranc injury from rd 3. Out for the season. Hoping to play club footy in round 17. Source.
Jack Hardy (Reds) - Tore his ACL in round 10. Gone for the year. Source.

Rene Ranger (Sunwolves) – Did his ACL trying to step off his right leg in rd 1. Gone for the season.
Garth April (Bulls) – Required surgery on his shoulder and probably won’t be seen for the season.
Lood de Jager (Bulls)– Will miss the remainder of the Super Rugby season to get shoulder surgery. He is out for 4-5 months so we expect he needs either a shoulder reconstruction or pec muscle repair. Source here.
Gianni Lombard (Lions) - Tore his ACL, MCL and menisucs trying step someone in round 10, gone for the season. Source.
Gonzalo Bertranou (Jaguares) – Dislocated his shoulder and is having an operation on the 22nd of February. No return date has been set, but generally it is a five month lay off (mid July at the earliest). Source here.
Bautista Delguy (Jaguares) - Had surgery for an ankle injury after round 5 and has been ruled out for 4 months. Gone for the season. Had screws removed from his left ankle and is training heavy in the gym. Source.
Matías Alemanno (Jaguares) - Had an operation on his big toe for a Hallux Valgus (bunion), back in the gym now. Source.
