Returned from Injury in Rd 15
Lachlan Boshier (Chiefs) - Recovered from his back injury and had a blinder.
Jack Debreczeni (Chiefs) - Back off the bench from a rd 10 concussion.
Sean Wainui (Chiefs) - Pulled pregame rd 14 because his wife went into labour. Back via the bench this week.
Joe Moody (Crusaders) - Back from a deep knee cut.
James Parsons (Blues) - Pulled pregame rd 14 with a sore back. Back via the bench this week.
Marty Banks (Highlanders) - Suffered a broken bone in his foot in rd 8 Back via the bench this week.
Waisake Naholo (Highlanders) - Injured his MCL before round 8. Finally made his comeback after being delayed last week.
Feao Fotuaika (Reds) - Fractured his thumb in rd 7. Back off the bench this week but looks super overweight.
Jed Holloway (Waratahs) - Came back from his 3 game ban via the bench.
Rory Arnold (Brumbies) - Back into it after recovering from his rd 12 ankle injury.
Rob Valetini (Brumbies) - Back from a rd 5 dislocated knee cap off the bench.
Adam Coleman (Rebels) - Started having recovered from a shoulder injury.
Jordan Uelese (Rebels) – Finally back off the bench from his knee reconstruction in 2018.
Semisi Masirewa (Sunwolves) - Back from his 1 week ban.
Amanaki Mafi (Sunwolves) - Started at number 8, didn't get as much ball as you'd expect.
Hosea Saumaki (Sunwolves) - Finally back off the bench this week, looked as damaging as we all want him to be!
Wilco Louw (Stormers) - Back after being pulled pregame last week with a groin niggle.
Juan Schoeman (Sharks) - Back on the bench after recovering from a round 10 leg injury.

New Injuries Rd 15:
Josh Ioane (Highlanders) - Pulled pregame because he failed to recover from a haematoma (cork) to his quad from last weeks game. Will be fine for rd 17 after the bye. Source.
Daniel Lienert-Brown (Highlanders) - Came off in the first half with a knee injury. Source.
Marty Banks (Highlanders) - Came off with a strained quad (thigh muscle tear). Source.
Matt Faddes (Highlanders) - Didn't return after his yellow card because of a head knock. Source.
Harry Hoopert (Reds) - Went off on a stretcher with a neck injury. Apparently post game he was walking around with only slight neck soreness so he should be fine. Source.
Will Genia (Rebels) - Got a bad concussion.
Karmichael Hunt (Waratahs) - Injured his left knee getting caught in a clean out. Confirmed as an grade 3 MCL injury, 4-8 weeks to return so his Super Rugby season is over. Source. Some reports even say 12 weeks but that doesn't add up for me. Source.
Cam Clark (Waratahs) - Came off with a leg injury. Must be okay because he has been named on the bench this week.
Duane Vermeulen (Bulls) - Came off with a shoulder or neck injury, looked serious but Duane got on twitter on Sunday and said he just had some neck and shoulder stiffness, nothing serious. Source.
Elton Jantjies (Lions) - Sick, likely to miss round 17. Source.
Eben Etzebeth (Stormers) - Pulled pregame with the flu.
Siya Kolisi (Stormers) - Came off just before half time with a minor knee injury. Looked like more of a precaution because he seemed to be walking well enough but he is due to go for a scan. Source.
Pieter-Steph du Toit (Stormers) - Played through a preexisting shoulder injury, obviously aggravated it because he is seeing a specialist on Monday. Source.
Scarra Ntubeni (Stormers) - Played close to 80 minutes despite a heavy knock to the thigh. No word on his prospects of playing this week. Source.
Philip van der Walt (Sharks) - Out with a shoulder injury in rd 16. Source.

Karl Tu'inukuafe (Blues) - Pulled midweek with a viral illness before rd 14, and missed rd 15. Source.
Dane Coles (Hurricanes) - Strained his calf mid week before rd 7. Back playing club footy rd 15 in the Hurricanes bye and now named in the tour squad for South Africa. Source.
Gareth Evans (Hurricanes) – Tore his calf in rd 2. Back playing club footy rd 15 in the Hurricanes bye and now named in the tour squad for South Africa. Source.
Fraser Armstrong (Hurricanes) - Concussion rd 13, back in the tour squad for rd 16. Source.
Richard Judd (Hurricanes) - Minor shoulder injury before round 13. Back in the tour squad for this week. Source.
Kieran Read (Crusaders) - Pulled pregame Rd 14 after injuring his shoulder/ neck area. "Like a stinger that hasn't gone away". Missed rd 15 because of an All Black's rest week. Source.
Samu Kerevi (Reds) - Was rested in round 15.
Harry Hockings (Reds) - Red card for putting a boot into Vosayco's face Rd 12. Banned for three weeks so should be back in round 16. Source.
Chris Feauai-Sautia (Reds) - Injured his knee but nothing serious. Failed a fitness test for rd 15 so should play this week. Source.
Filipo Daugunu (Reds) - Broke his forearm in rd 8, back starting on the wing in rd 16.
Hamish Stewart (Reds) - Came off with a right shoulder injury in rd 13. Back on the bench this week.
JP Smith (Reds) - Concussion in rd 14. Back starting this week.
Tom English (Rebels) - Originally named for his comeback from a calf tear but got pulled late. We assume he should play this week.
Anaru Rangi (Rebels) - Was rested last week so back in the mix this week. Source.
Isi Naisarani (Rebels) - Out for 2 weeks from round 14 with a big toe injury so he should play this week. Source.
Luke Jones (Rebels) - Had a hairline fractured eye socket from before round 14, back starting this week. Source.
Lachlan McCaffrey (Brumbies) - Aggravated his medial ligament in his knee in rd 9. Played club rugby in round 15 so should be back this week. Source.
Craig Millar (Sunwolves) – Suffered a fracture and dislocation in his left foot in rd 3. Was back in the squad last week so should be in the mix round. Source.
Ernst van Rhyn (Stormers) - The loose forward suffered an elbow injury in rd 11, back in the mix for round 16 or 17. Source.
Jano Vermaak (Stormers) - Expected back in the coming weeks (as of rd 15). Source.
Chris van Zyl (Stormers) - Ruled out for at least six weeks with a back injury in rd 8, back in the mix around this week. Source.
Malcolm Marx (Lions) - Was rested last week.
Joaquin Tuculet (Jaguares) -His knee has recovered, was flown in last week to cover Cancelliere's injury. Source.
Thomas du Toit (Sharks) - Rd 13 suffered an ankle sprain. Should play rd 16. Source.

NEW ZEALAND
All Blacks are expected to miss two weeks during the Super Rugby season.
All Blacks are also not meant to play more than 6 game weeks in a row.
Highlanders
Kalolo Tuiloma – The prop is out due to injury. No more news yet. Source here.
Ben Smith - A high hamstring tear and a concussion in round 12. He is expected to return between 6-8 weeks from the hamstring injury (returning between the quarter final or grand final), so that could be the end of his season. Source.
Tevita Li - Tore his hamstring in rd 13, not on the two week tour. Source.
Tei Walden - Got concussed in rd 15, missed round 15. Source.
Liam Squire - Missed the two week tour to deal with family issues. Back after the bye having played club footy in rd 15. Source.
Jackson Hemopo - Injured his knee in rd 13. Available for selection after the bye for rd 17. Source.
Hurricanes
The Hurricanes in 2018 wouldn’t play anyone that isn’t fit to play fully on Monday of the game week.
Andries Ferreira - Suffered another knee injury. Has been sent back to South Africa to recover. At this stage he is not going to play with the Hurricanes, but they haven't ruled out something in the future. Source.
Nehe Milner-Skudder – Injured his shoulder on November 3. Recovery has been pushed back even further, only starting some contact work after round 11 and may not even play again this season. Source.
Liam Mitchell - Looks like he might have broken his hand in rd 12. Source.
Alex Fidow - Pulled pregame round 12 as he tried to return from an injury. Was aiming to play rd 16 but not named in the South Africa tour squad for rds 16-17. Source.
Chiefs
The Chiefs in 2018 – “There was a team policy this year to give injured players an extra week to ensure they were fully fit.”
Kane Hames – Still going through concussion protocols from last year, expected to play “very soon”, but no clear time line. Source here.
Michael Allardice - Came off after only 26 minutes with a knee injury in round 12. Was expected to play round 15 but wasn't named. Source.
Brodie Retallick - Copped a shoulder stinger in the dying stages of rd 9. Also has a wrist injury. Nigel Yalden thinks his return has been pushed back to round 18!
Luke Jacobson - Copped a concussion during the week and missed rd 14 and 15. Source.
Crusaders
Tim Perry – Broke his forearm Badly, needed a pin and plate. Apparently his season could be over. They are hoping he could he is back by rd 18 at the earliest. Source here.
Owen Franks - Confirmed to have a small "tear" in his shoulder (I assume they mean rotator cuff). He will miss at least the next four weeks from round 12. So at the earliest he will be back round 16. Source.
Will Jordan - Injured his foot in the first half of round 12, may miss the rest of the season. Source.
Codie Taylor - Broke his finger in round 14. Gone for a month so will miss the rest of the regular season. Source.
Blues
Jimmy Tupou – ACL reconstruction mid May 2018, “still working back from it”, standard rehab of 9 months would put him back around mid Feb, but that can vary a lot. Source here.
Stephen Perofeta – Preseason pec muscle injury, apparently he could be gone for 16 weeks! Season pretty much gone.

Sione Mafileo - Facing a stint on the sideline after suffering an ankle during round 10. Source.

Dalton Papali'i - Suffered a head knock and won't play round 15, still not right to play rd 17. Source.
Sonny Bill Williams - Missed round 8 with a knee injury. Held back in round 16 while they built up his training loads. Should play rd 17. Source.

The Australian sides have reached a “handshake agreement” with Rugby Australia to rest their Wallabies throughout the year. Most likely one or two weeks, but it is worth knowing when comparing to last seasons efforts. Source here.

Reds
James Tuttle – Ruptured his Achilles tendon in the NRC during late October last year. Recovery is an absolute minimum of 6 months, more likely 8-9 months (as per SBW and Slipper) which puts him at a return in May at the absolute earliest, more likely late June/ July. Probably his season gone! Source here.
Caleb Timu - Got heavily concussed in rd 14.
Rebels

Waratahs
Rory O'Connor - Suffered a rib injury in rd 11. Source.
Tolu Latu - Being charged for a drink driving charge mid-week. Stood down until he faces court on the 6th of June. Source.
Jack Dempsey - Suffered a serious back injury in rd 11, still not quite right for rd 16. Apparently there were even fears for his playing future, but this does not sound completely accuate. Source.

Sharks
Craig Burden - Expected back from his bicep muscle repair surgery for round 17. Source.
Akker van der Merwe - returned home before rd 13 with a shoulder injury, expect back round 17. Source.
Tendai Mtawarira - Tore his MCL (knee) in round 11. Should play rd 17. Source.
Lwazi Mvovo - Struggling with an ankle sprain. Back in round 17. Source.
Stormers
Ramone Samuels – Severe Knee injury in August of last year. No definite come back date yet. Source here.
Daniel du Plessis - Right knee injury. News has gotten worse for Dan, before round 10 they said he will "be out for a while". Source.
SP Marais - Injured his hip flexor trying to convert the Stormers last try in rd 8. Sent home from tour so at least won't play round 9. Source.
Ruhan Nel - Fractured his ankle at training before round 11. No word on a return date but I would think at least six weeks.
Sergeal Petersen - Went down with a knee injury at the start of rd 12. Source.
Bongi Mbonambi - Came off with a quad injury in rd 14. Expected back rd 17. Source.
Bulls
Edgar Marutlulle – Injured his achilles. Before round 6 his injury had been extended to more than six weeks away. Source.
Marnitz Boshoff – Originally expected back in April. More than six weeks from Rd 6. Source.
Marco Jansen van Vuren - On the long term injury list. More than six weeks from Rd 6. Source.
Jesse Kriel - Injured his ankle in round 11 and needs surgery. Will be available in 6-8 weeks. Source.
Handre Pollard - Tore his calf mid week before rd 15. Expected back rd 18. Source.
Jade Stighling - Came off with a concussion. Won't play round 12. Source.
Lions
Lourens Erasmus – Fractured Tibia and Fibula through the ankle, 6-9 months recovery puts him back around June/ July so he could miss the entire season. Source here.

Warren Whiteley - His knee flared up for a second time while he missed round 15. He has had to have another option, and won't play Super Rugby again. Source.

Jaguares
Javier Díaz - Suffered a tear to his left Adductor (groin) in rd 13, out for 3 to 4 weeks (rd 17-18). Source.
Sebastián Cancelliere - Suffered a small tear of his iliopsoas (hip flexor) and will be out for two weeks. Back rd 17. Source.
Sunwolves
20 players are in an international camp from Feb 2 to March 1 so are unlikely to feature in the first 3 rounds of the year. Source here. UPDATE: Apparently they are expected back around week 6.
Ed Quirk – Tore the MCL on the inside of his knee. Requires an operation and 8-10 weeks off (20th April- 5th May). Source here.
Shane Gates – Broke through his lower leg in round 3. If he broke both bones as it looked, he will be going for surgery and should be gone for a significant period of time. Source here.
Michael Little - Concussed in rd 5. Not training with the squad before round 15. Source.
Ryohei Yamanaka - Bad concussion in rd 13. Bank's knee collided with his head in the tackle.
Grant Hattingh - Came off early with a knee injury in rd 13, managed to limp off himself with some discomfort. No update yet.

Aki Seiuli (Highlanders) – Apparently out for the season.
Richard Buckman (Highlanders) -Having an operation on an Achilles tear, out for the season. Source.
Tevita Nabura (Highlanders) - Suffered a season ending knee injury. Source.
Bryn Gatland (Highlanders) - Came of with a serious left foot injury in round 11. Sounds like a bad Lis Franc injury which is what Nehe Milner-Skudder had last year, gone for 6 months. Source.
Mitchell Graham (Chiefs) – Fractured his tibia and fibula back in the 2017 Brisbane Tens, still unsure of a comeback date as he works with specialists to stop his leg pain. Source here 28th November. He still can’t run and doesn’t have a squad spot for 2019.
Tiaan Falcon (Chiefs) – Ruptured his Achilles tendon and is gone for the entire season. This means a big increase in minutes for Debreczini, and now Stephen Donald has been signed up. Source here.
Damian McKenzie (Chiefs) - Has torn his ACL and will be having a reconstruction in the next few weeks. Out for the season and the RWC. Source.
Mitchell Brown (Chiefs) - Injured his knee, apparently he is gone for the season. Source.
Sam Lousi (Hurricanes) – Torn his pec muscle, having an operation and is out for the year. Source here.
Vince Aso (Hurricanes) – His round 4 pec injury will now rule him out for the season. Source.
Manasa Mataele (Crusaders) – It has finally been confirmed that his season is over after rupturing his ACL. Hopefully he is back terrorising defences next season. Source here.
Israel Dagg (Crusaders) – Officially retired from rugby at age 30 due to his arthritic knee.
Tom Sanders (Crusaders) -Dislocated his shoulder in round 6. He has had surgery before round 8 and won't be back for six months. Source. Sam Nock (Blues) - Had an operation on his finger after breaking it in round 13, gone for the season. Source.
Matt Moulds (Blues) - Done for the season with a hand injury. Source.
Ben Hyne (Brumbies) – Re-tore his ACL just before Christmas, will likely miss the full season. Source here.
David Pocock (Brumbies) – The calf tear that never ends. He has retired from Super Rugby. Source.
Josh Mann-Rea (Brumbies) - Flown home from the tour after tearing his ACL against the Stormers. Gone for the season. Source.
Jordan Petaia (Reds) – Had an operation on a Lisfranc injury from rd 3. Out for the season. Hoping to play club footy in round 17. Source.

Israel Folau (Waratahs) - His contract has officially been torn up after he posted inflammatory posts on instagram about a month ago.

Rene Ranger (Sunwolves) – Did his ACL trying to step off his right leg in rd 1. Gone for the season.
Garth April (Bulls) – Required surgery on his shoulder and probably won’t be seen for the season.
Lood de Jager (Bulls)– Will miss the remainder of the Super Rugby season to get shoulder surgery. He is out for 4-5 months so we expect he needs either a shoulder reconstruction or pec muscle repair. Source here.
Gianni Lombard (Lions) - Tore his ACL, MCL and menisucs trying step someone in round 10, gone for the season. Source.
JD Schickerling (Stormers) - Injured his hand in round 12, done for the season. Source.
Salmaan Moerat (Stomers) - Came off with what looked like a bad concussion in round 10. Confirmed he is out for the season. Source.
Juarno Augustus (Stormers) - As of rd 15 he was ruled out for the season. Source.
Gonzalo Bertranou (Jaguares) – Dislocated his shoulder and is having an operation on the 22nd of February. No return date has been set, but generally it is a five month lay off (mid July at the earliest). Source here.
Bautista Delguy (Jaguares) - Had surgery for an ankle injury after round 5 and has been ruled out for 4 months. Gone for the season. Had screws removed from his left ankle and is training heavy in the gym. Source.
Matías Alemanno (Jaguares) - Had an operation on his big toe for a Hallux Valgus (bunion), back in the gym now. Source.
